72CS
At a size allowing four spacious guest cabins and fully enclosable galley and crew quarters, the Contest 72CS was developed first for an owner experienced in chartering large superyachts who desired not just a luxury yacht in his 22-metre new commission but one designed and built to the same equivalent extreme levels of engineering and outfitting.
REFLECTING LIFESTYLES A defining and high priority feature of the superyacht is near silent running, and here in the Contest 72CS everything imaginable both above and below deck has been engineered and enabled to achieve this equivalency. The brief though went way beyond the comfort of quiet running, extending on through technical inventory to the very nature of operation and intended style of sailing, whether bluewater cruising or racing regattas. Serving this breadth of capability, deliveries to date span full carbon rig with Park Lane boom and 3Di moulded sails, to alloy spars and vertically battened Vectra with in-mast furling. Reflecting lifestyles, the approach below decks has similarly varied between full owner privacy to full-on inclusivity with choice of forward enclosed galley and crew quarters or aft U-shaped galley and more shared cabin space. Choice and specification is entirely personal.
SUPER SMART DETAILING Sharing the Contest range’s signature dual cockpit arrangement for ease of short-handed sail control and operation, there is a large garage with big tender, and to release even more storage space there is opportunity, too, for a tender-well on the foredeck that further doubles as water-filled tub or tabled leisure cockpit for foredeck drinks and dining. Forward of the helm and pedestal working area, the guest cockpit is completely free of all sheets and lines, making for simple pleasures including dining at the two folding tables which span the cockpit’s exceptionally comfortable, curve-ended and beautifully upholstered seating. Detailing extends from deck-fridge to clever sprayhood hideaway and inset LED lighting in the boom overhead for charming evening atmosphere.
