67CS
“A sensational new 67ft semi-custom model,” said Yachting World of this 21-metre judel/vrolijk & co design, continuing, “Contest’s practical, methodical approach is of superyacht standard. In terms of quality, the 67CS is perhaps the most impressive new yacht under 80ft in production today.”
TRULY CALMING The Contest 67CS is both a delightful design and a delight to sail and live aboard. With this the first of our judel/ vrolijk & co collaborations, the famed Contest descriptor of ‘all-weather’ sailing extended much further also into light-wind performance for Mediterranean-style sailing as well more classic bluewater voyaging. Also, a new structural approach reduced displacement while increasing stiffness and opening the interior for greater accommodation. Win-win all round. With a choice of carbon or aluminium rig, the yacht can be tuned specifically to intended purpose, as can the interior with optional arrangements from master cabin forward or aft and for three to five sleeping cabins for family and friends. There’s the option, too, of a crew cabin, meaning charter can also be added into the mix, helping contribute to upkeep. And down below the 67CS is a truly calming yacht, quiet and peaceful, whether under sail, motor or at anchor, courtesy of the superyacht standard of engineering and noise and vibration management.
INVISIBLE COMFORTS This level of build and outfitting extends to include a dedicated, climate-controlled technical room keeping cool-preferring electronics and other sensitive ship’s systems separated from the inherently warmer, yet extremely well insulated and isolated mechanical spaces. To match needs of potential distance cruising, extensive stowage includes an enormous lazarette and tender garage with space aplenty for dive compressor, sports kit and toys. For shade or protection from wind and blown spray, bimini and sprayhood provide not just shelter but sturdy support for crew on the move, benefiting from such robust handholding. Designed for serious sea-work yet cleverly easy to demount and neatly stow. Back to seemingly smaller things, even the louvred grills in the sleek coachroof are specifically engineered for the frequency-driven ventilation system which optimises temperature and airflow while minimising noise and vibration. Invisible comforts and the detail that make for a very fine yacht.
