OPEN HOUSE SUCCES
A great day out and open to everyone, our annual, April Open House event this year drew hundreds of visitors for deep-dive yard and yacht tours and an intriguing variety of inspiring talks.
Among these were presentations from World Cruising about their ARC rallies discussing the many opportunities, and with a supporting first-hand talk from Contest 57CS owner Martijn Obers who sailed the 2023 ARC. Adding further to inspiration, Team Row4Cancer, sponsored by Contest for The World’s Toughest Row, talked of their extraordinary, winning Transatlantic challenge. While for those wandering the halls and dockside, displays by our key equipment suppliers also excited much interest, and there were of course great refreshments enjoyed throughout the day!

WEBSITE RENEWAL
We are delighted to have our newly redesigned and refreshed website up online in time for the new 2025 season. Presenting a fresher face and more easily reached content, its styling is reflected also in our new advertising campaign. Highly graphical, this focuses in on the fine detail involved in Contest design and engineering. Our yachts are not just beautiful, they are beautifully made. As the campaign makes clear, it’s all in the detail.
SPEEDY DEPARTURE
Where would you head with your new Contest 55CS? In April the freshly launched 17-metre beauty Barrua pictured here went straight south for the Mediterranean sun and blue waters via Biscay and Gibraltar. A memorable and very special maiden voyage, with the skipper reporting, "Barrua performed fantastically. What a yacht! The sailing performance is truly impressive. Easy to handle, safe, comfortable, and stable. Pure joy!" Well, as we all know, the skipper’s always right!
SMART OUTING
Leaving the yard ready for final lower keel fitting once across the bar, this beautiful Majestic Blue and International Orange Contest 63CS heads off for imminent handover to her eagerly awaiting owner! She’s now out sailing, looking gorgeous and turning heads wherever she goes. Those lines and colourway, wow!
WINNING RESULT
We’re never shy about promising performance as well as reliability and luxury in our yachts, and we’re delighted to announce new proof of this … as we send our congratulations to Contest 63CS Blue Vision, securing 1st place in the IMA Maxi Beta class at the 2025 Loro Piana Giraglia regatta. A great performance by yacht and crew. Excellent, well sailed!
