The weather may not have remembered that our early summer northern-waters regatta is meant to be sailed under a kind sun and perfect mid-range winds, but a lot of fun was still had with crews discovering the joys of testing themselves in the mostly chunky conditions. The determination was there with the smiles breaking through, just as the sun itself finally did in the midst of Day Two’s racing. But it’s not just all about the racing, it’s about leisure sailing too and for those preferring a gentler cruising approach the quieter flotilla touring of the Ijsselmeer brought plenty of smiles, too.
