“What a great show,” said Contest Yachts CEO Arjen Conijn, of January’s boot Düsseldorf 2026, with thanks to all who came to see our two yachts from the range on show: making her international debut, the brand-new Contest 56CS, and sistership 15-metre Contest 50CS. In all the exhibition’s long history, we’ve never missed a show, and our elegant stand as always drew good footfall, and we were delighted with the level of interest and now ongoing enquiry. FIRST FULL REVEAL
We may now be a quarter of the way into 2026 but for the shipyard the highlights started early, before the Düsseldorf show with the first full reveal to the entire design and build team of the new 17-metre Contest 56CS. SMART OUTING
It was a proud day in February at Contest HQ for our sponsored, student TU Delft Hydro Motion Team as they released from its recyclable mould the fully carbon hull of their foiling, hydrogen powered contender for the 2026 Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, a significant international competition in which the university’s students have a phenomenal record of success.

FIRST LAYER OF GELCOAT
The next new 15-metre Contest 50CS commences construction with the composite team’s finely controlled, line-fed spray application of a first layer of gelcoat. The physical start of what we call building dreams together. CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEO
