KEEPING GOOD COMPANY
In early autumn, we announced a new partnership with renowned yacht broker Ancasta Group, leading to the creation of a new dedicated sales operation, Contest Yachts UK. We are thrilled with this move which has already seen much increased activity, including shared presence at our shows, to date Cannes and Southampton, and this coming January in Düsseldorf.
Designed specifically to grow and serve our important UK owner-base, Contest Yachts UK is very much a part of our entire operation with us all working closely together.
Based on the river Hamble, Contest Yachts UK’s expert team is led by Oliver Windsor, Ted Smith and Simon Boote.

TRIAL BY JURY: CONTEST 63CS NOMINATED FOR EUROPEAN YACHT OF THE YEAR 2025
Nomination for the Oscars of yachting is always a delight, and so with bated breath we await news of the standing of our beautiful new 19-metre Contest 63CS, the 2025 results due during January’s Düsseldorf show.
The schedule and testing for these awards can be pretty intense and this year saw the jury comprising Europe’s top 12 yachting editors gathering for two days’ October sailing out of Palma, Mallorca. The weather that’s best for this kind of review mostly held well, with much of the sailing in 10-15 knots, but with the occasional thrill of thunder and lightning!
The 63CS performed well throughout, as would be expected of course, including the lighter airs, drawing very encouraging comments from the judging panel, evidently enjoying both the performance and luxury in this exciting new model. So, for now until Düsseldorf, we’ll just have to wait and see!
OUTWARD BOUND TO DUSSELDORF
We have such a great line up for boot Düsseldorf 2025; you just have to come and see! In our usual position, Hall16 Stand C54, you’ll be able to view the European Yacht of the Year nominated Contest 63CS, the previous EYOTY winning Contest 55CS, and the Contest 49CS. That’s quite a line-up!
The 63CS on show is outfitted in teak and upholstered vertical panelling, with three double suites and vast forward working area. And demonstrating how widely we personalise interiors, the 55CS you’ll see on the stand has a very different vibe with dark, smoked-oak interior, combining with light greys. The 49CS meanwhile presents a very different interior arrangement with, in place of our trademark aft master suite, a forward master and two twinned cabins aft, all tall and very spacious. A fascinating range.
So, do come along, and to avoid the queues you can pre-book private viewings here ➔ Boot Düsseldorf 18-26 January 2025. H16/C54.
AUTUMN GOLD
It was lovely to meet again so many friends and visitors at our autumn shows in Cannes and Southampton, both delightful and successful events with incredible weather. In Cannes that may be expected but Southampton is always a gamble - thankfully this year proving a golden winner! In Cannes we premiered the Contest 63CS, showing the 55CS also, while in Southampton it was the turn of our 50CS. Enquiries were at a high level across the board, and as ever discussions continue, while the yard continues with the work of fulfilling the order book for eager awaiting owners.
DIGI TEASE
Just a word of what’s coming soon … a wholly new Contest website! Yes, it’s time for an update and we’ll be launching the new site in January. So watch this space for a great new look and content!
